Massive deformations of Maass forms and Jacobi forms

چکیده
We define one-parameter "massive" deformations of Maass forms and Jacobi forms. This is inspired by descriptions plane gravitational waves in string theory. Examples include massive Green's functions (that we write terms Kronecker-Eisenstein series) modular graph functions.

Deformations of Maass forms
We describe numerical calculations which examine the PhillipsSarnak conjecture concerning the disappearance of cusp forms on a noncompact finite volume Riemann surface S under deformation of the surface. Our calculations indicate that if the Teichmüller space of S is not trivial, then each cusp form has a set of deformations under which either the cusp form remains a cusp form or else it dissol...
متن کاملA Note on Maass-Jacobi Forms
In this paper, we introduce the notion of Maass-Jacobi forms and investigate some properties of these new automorphic forms. We also characterize these automorphic forms in several ways.
متن کاملMaass-jacobi Forms over Complex Quadratic Fields
We use methods from representation theory and invariant theory to compute differential operators invariant under the action of the Jacobi group over a complex quadratic field. This allows us to introduce Maass-Jacobi forms over complex quadratic fields, which are Jacobi forms that are also eigenfunctions of an invariant differential operator. We present explicit examples via Jacobi-Eisenstein s...
متن کاملHarmonic Maass Forms, Mock Modular Forms, and Quantum Modular Forms
This short course is an introduction to the theory of harmonic Maass forms, mock modular forms, and quantum modular forms. These objects have many applications: black holes, Donaldson invariants, partitions and q-series, modular forms, probability theory, singular moduli, Borcherds products, central values and derivatives of modular L-functions, generalized Gross-Zagier formulae, to name a few....

which were defined by Ramanujan and Watson decades ago. In his last letter to Hardy dated January 1920 (see pages 127-131 of [27]), Ramanujan lists 17 such functions, and he gives 2 more in his “Lost Notebook” [27]. In his paper “The final problem: An account of the mock theta functions” [32], Watson defines 3 further functions. Surprisingly, much remains unknown about these enigmatic series. R...
